Creative Digital Course with Reform Radio – Manchester

Reform Radio are working with Manchester Adult Education Service and the Community Learning Fund to deliver a 6 week programme in creative digital skills and employability.

During the 6 weeks, you will work towards researching, producing and presenting a live show on www.reformradio.co.uk on the final day.

We are interested in discovering new skills and talent and are keen to discover people who might not have skills or only baseline skills in radio and digital. We encourage all abilities to apply, no matter if you are a complete beginner or you feel you need that final push to break into the industry.

You will also have the opportunity to:

  • Get to use professional broadcasting equipment in an exciting environment
  • Meet new people
  • Gain confidence, teamwork and communication skills
  • Create podcasts throughout the week and broadcast a live show on the final day
  • Receive support to help you move into further training or employment

The course is FREE to attend and includes travel expenses, lunch will also be provided. It is open to 19 – 30 year olds who are not currently in employment.

The course runs two days each week.

Programme start date: 25th January 2018.

Programme end date: 1st March 2018.

To apply for this course, please get in touch with Tikira on projects@reformradio.co.uk or call 07582 194077.

About Reform Radio:

Starting life in a South Manchester basement in 2014, Reform Radio moved to the Old Granada studios in 2015 and at 7pm on 3rd October, began 24/7 broadcasting of the best in music, arts and culture to the world. Now with support from Allied London as one of their St John’s Projects, Reform is ushering in a new era of international broadcasting from this culturally rich region.

Beyond making incredible content, Reform Radio uses the framework of an online station to support young adults into employment. We’re a not-for-profit company that delivers employment and creative workshops and traineeships alongside genuine opportunities to develop and practice new skills within our industry standard radio station. Our radio community supports the wider community; and so it goes around.
