Tech Returners: Manchester – Your Journey into Tech Programme

Course Overview:

Our course takes you through a structure in which we cover both the fundamentals of software development, frontend development skills and backend development skills. During the first week of the course we focus on programming and tech team fundamentals covering topics such as test driven development, pair programming, agile processes and problem solving techniques. JavaScript is used as the core underpinning language throughout the course.

Following the first week, the frontend portion of the course focuses on core frontend skills including HTML, CSS, JavaScript before moving into React development.

The backend section of the course is focused on developing supporting backend API’s leveraging Cloud (AWS) technologies. You’ll be introduced to Cloud terminology and skills, databases, serverless technologies and API development via NodeJS and the Express framework.

Finally the last two weeks of the course are dedicated to creating your own projects in a team and utilising your skills in order to create your own applications.

This will be underpinned by personal development support through 1-2-1 coaching, cv writing, interview preparation, finding the right role for you and welcoming you into to the amazing Tech Returners community.
