Come along to Leigh Halloween Kids Hack to play, make and create with code!
In this fun creative workshop for 7-12 year olds, the FutureEverything team are on hand to help kids develop new skills in coding, while building on the stuff they’re already learning in school.
Did you know: as a part of the CityVerve smart city demonstrator, TfGM have installed smart bus stops around Leigh? Cool, right? In this workshop, kids will discover how the bus stop works, why it’s useful and come up with their own ideas for a smart bus stop.
What to expect?
Over two days your kids will escape zombies, control lights and build their very own mini smart bus stop, all through the magic of code.
In the workshops they’ll learn about connectivity through coding, explore the IoT (Internet of Things) and learn how smart devices work with data. All using kid-friendly hardware and data sets. And, at the end of the workshops, kids will get to take home their very own micro:bit!
Please Note: This event and workshop runs over two days: 27 & 28 October, from 10am – 5pm.
