WebbieZone is a free after school code club – or Coderdojo – for young people of all ages.
The sessions are run by Web Applications UK, a software house in Oldham, and take place in our purpose-built training suite in the WA:UK Centre of Excellence. Each session is coordinated by our software engineers, who volunteer their time to help the next generation of developers.
Aimed at all children with an interest in coding, computers, and problem solving, whether they’re a complete beginner or would like to extend the knowledge they already have, WebbieZone can provide them with the tools they need to develop their programming skills.
We use websites including Codecademy, Code Combat, Scratch, and Unity, and hardware such as the Raspberry Pi and the Micro:bit. We provide everything that’s needed and tailor each session to the skillset of the individual.
WebbieZone takes place every Thursday from 6pm-7pm (excluding school holidays). The WA:UK Centre of Excellence is easily accessible by public transport and free parking is available. If you, or someone you know, is interested in coming along, send us an email and we’ll get straight back to you: marketing@webapplicationsuk.com.
Please note: our code club will be moving to Hack:Oldham in due course.

WebbieZone is the spiritual successor to our highly popular code club LaticZone. A one hour session ran by volunteers from Web Applications UK, we’ll be touching on a wide range of technologies through Scratch, Python, Raspberry Pi programming, and many more.
