Since 2005, Comedy Club 4 Kids has been running comedy workshops for children, in schools, theatres and at festivals.
This workshop is run by professional comics Sean Mason and Kate McCabe, who will teach participants how to write and perform comedy, finding the funny in their own experiences and turning it into confidently delivered stand-up and sketches. The workshop might include anything from making up rubbish superheroes, to devising sketches together about the worst family trip ever!
To avoid cramping your children’s style, we ask parents not to stay in the workshop. There is a nice café outside the room for adults that want to be close by. For the last 15 minutes of the workshop, adults will be invited in to watch a mini performance so the young comics can show what they have been working on. Suitable for children aged 8 to 11.
Part of Manchester Literature Festival 2017.

Comedy Academy 4 Kids
In tandem with the Comedy Club, we also run a Comedy ACADEMY 4 Kids, where kids can learn to be standups, too. We are now selling a 50-page booklet on how to write and perform stand-up, ‘How To Be An Unstoppably Amazing Comedy Genius’, available from Amazon and directly from us.
