As always we’ll try and save time for questions, so if you have any burning frustrations just shout (politely) at someone wearing a ‘Mentor’ lanyard.
Following on from Part 1 last month, the stupendous Roo is back with Part 2 of his 3 part series of Programming 101 workshops – where you can learn the basics of programming. Ideal for beginners, this will introduce you to basic programming concepts, using the highly popular language – Python. Part 2 dives in deeper and covers how to alter the flow of your program, using conditions and loops to make things happen in response to changing values.
We’ll also run our drop in session, where our friendly mentors can help out with your projects, and get you going when you get stuck. If you just want to come along and work on your own pet project while surrounded by people immersed in code, that’s fine too!
If you have any side projects that you need help with or want to show off, then bring them along and we’ll give you any help you need.
As always, our mentors will be around to help you with any burning questions you have, so just look out for someone wearing a ‘Mentor’ lanyard if you get stuck.
You’ll get the most out of the session if you bring your usual coding device – we’ll have electricity and wifi, but can’t lend you a laptop!
If you’ve never been to one of our sessions before then don’t worry we’re a friendly bunch and we’ll get you started.
One more thing, there are some free parking spaces available, but please only use those marked with an “M“.
