Coderdojo Cheadle, Eccles, Manchester, Stockport and Tameside have got together to run online sessions on various topics.

Session Details

We have sessions on

• Beginners Scratch
• Scratch games(you have good knowledge of Scratch)
• Microbits using emulator -Beginners
• Python Programming – ‘Is Eliza Human? – For year 6 and above

Tickets

Please pick only one ticket! If you order more than one, we will have to cancel your orders!

Equipment

Laptops or Macbooks only, please. You will need to have applications running side-by-side so you can watch the broadcast as well as having what you are working on visible too.

Safeguarding

We will be using Jitsi Meet which is a web-based conferencing tool, so there is no need to install any new software.

We would like an adult to stay for the session with the child throughout the session.

The software allows the user to share their webcam and also their screens. We would start the session with everybody hidden apart from the mentors.

If you don’t wish them to share their webcam and are concern your child may accidentally click on share button then please tape paper over the webcam.

Also, Jitsi allows users to privately message each other, we have not found any other free tools that can stop that, so this is why we want a parent/guardian to stay with the child.
