Access to Music Manchester is the place for anyone looking for creative courses in Greater Manchester.
Our music centre is located in the heart of the city, close to Oxford Road station and the central library. It boasts purpose-built facilities in an exciting and colourful architect-designed space, with five rehearsal rooms, a full-size recording studio, spacious class rooms and a dedicated performance space with a capacity of 100 people.
Our media centre is located in Chorlton Mills just off Oxford Road on Hulme Street. This offers a dedicated space for media students.
At the music site you will be developing your musical skills in a site steeped in the history of the Manchester music scene. Previous incarnations of the building have included the Music Box, Jilly’s Rockworld, Rafters and Fagins venues, which have seen performances from the likes of Depeche Mode, Joy Division, The Fall, Sade and Scott Walker over the years. The site was also used as a location during the production of the iconic film 24 Hour Party People.
